Hello,

The simple explanation is: With ODT (RTT_Nom) you terminate long open
stubs that leads to non Written Ranks (or Ranks you are not Reading from).
RTT_wr is enabled by a Write command and can terminat the DRAM that is
written. This should minimize the Reflections coming back from this DRAM.
Target is to find the optimum combination that does not kill your
voltage margin while having adequate timing margins.

If you are now talking about different populations (Slot empty, single
Rank, double rank or quad Rank) and high number of Slots it's getting
interesting to find this optimum combination for all cases.

Best regards

Hermann
