I am using some 0.1uF ceramic capacitors on the DC power input to a board that will be hot plugged. We have a hot plug controller but need the capacitors close to the connector for EMI suppression. My question is will hot plugging a 0.1uF cap damage it due to high inrush currents? I can't find any information related to how ceramic capacitors tolerate surge currents.
