We also use an analyzer from Ridley (M200/M300 older models) for our DC DC--
converter test reports to appease customers as an IC manufacturer. These
results can vary and are not necessarily indicative of loop stability with
switching converters since these are non-linear systems. Especially, with
new types of control loops, i.e. light load PFM, input feed forward, ripple
regulation, or capacitor ESR feedback. Our main test of stability is load
transient response using a 10A/us or greater dynamic load tool from ON
Semiconductor, this usually gets you 95% of the way there.

Subject: [SI-LIST] Bode Plot Equipment to measure loop stability of DC-DC
converters
Hi Experts,
We are planning to buy a Bode plot equipment to measure the stability of
DC-DC converters(Gain/Phase margins)
Any suggestions on which* company/model* to buy and *specifications to
look
for* would help.
Thanks!
