Thanks. So this is a Which one's impact is bigger question. I agree w/ you
that the imperfect return path and mode conversion both produce ILD, but in
most cases, their impacts should be much smaller than re-reflections? I
mean the energy lost due to re-reflections usually are much larger than
that lost due to return path issue and asymmetry of the channel? Correct me
if not the case.

Hi experts,
My understanding of ILD is it represents the reflection noise imposed on
IL due to multiple mismatches in the channel, mainly the three types of
re-reflection noises. But this presentation says the 3 types of
re-reflection inference noises are independent from ILD. Is this correct or
I missed something?
