Hello Dear Colleagues:
According to EE Times, "Chip experts see talent shortage as main growth hurdle
in the semiconductor industry. For example, in the U.S., where the CHIPS Act
has spurred more than $200 billion worth of new fab investments in states like
Texas and Arizona, positions for more than 100,000 skilled workers remain
unfilled, according to global management consultancy McKinsey." This has
obviously cascading effects in adjacent industries such as the connector,
artificial intelligence, consumer electronics among others.
In the Combined 17th Central Pennsylvania Symposium on SI/PI and MASH Forum,
MASH experts will discuss areas and opportunities where we can help the United
States strengthen its role in semiconductor manufacturing, including workforce
development.
