Last Wednesday evening, a tornadic storm came through here. We were lucky,
and no one was hurt, either dog or human. There were trees down on top the
kennels, and we were without power/phone, or water for days. Another severe
storm hit some areas on Friday. I chose to cancel the GSDC of St. Louis
meeting
Friday due to the weather emergency. Several thousand people in our area are
still without power during one of the hottest summers in St. Louis history.
The Governor has declared several counties, and the City of St. Louis disaster
areas. Today three people in St. Louis died due to the heat. Yesterday an
Ameran UE employee was killed, when he touched a downed power line while
reaching into some brush, and another was severely burned, and shocked in
another
area while trying to restore power. Yes, the bickering on the list in the past
few days is rather unimportant when you consider the big picture. As a
member of the GSDCA, I have complete trust, and faith in those we elected to
govern our Club. I feel we are well represented by hard working people who
share
my love for our Breed. Thank you to each and every one of you for the jobs you
