WHY? Because a fellow fancier whose dog died and whose arms are empty ASKED
for help, that's why. I happened to answer the post privately w/ names of
several folks who are doing IMO a very nice job.
All this nonsense re 10 generations knowing what's behind a line...want to
know what's behind a line????? EVERYTHING in 10 generations, that's what.
How common is the answer "well, breed him enough and you're bound to get some
of everything". FORGET about 10 generations...how about 4??? Find me one
pedigree, just ONE where you can't find bloat/torsion, mega, dogs who didn't
certify either in the pedigree or linear in the first generation...you can't.
So for goodness sakes, how much different of a crap shoot is it to buy a
dog when you have breed surveys to go on??? It ISN'T IMO, so again, the nice
thing to do, the kind thing to do is HELP by sending them to someone who does
right by their dogs and the people who end up with them.
