I had GSD that was diagnosed at about 10 months with FCP in both elbows (no
UAP). He had arthoscopic surgery done - first one elbow and then 6 weeks
later the second. The surgery was $3,000.00 for the first elbow and
$2,500.00 for the second. He was completely cured. I was told at the time
he would be lame at about 3 yrs. old without the surgery. He went on to
earn many, many herding titles and never limped once. I was told the
surgery was so successful because he was diagnosed so young.
