I received an unsolicited email inviting me to join a web based directory 
entitled  " www.TheEnglishSpringerSpanielBreeders.com ."  This email was signed 
by "Jeff."

I learned today from one of my springer yahoo groups that other springer 
breeders have also been contacted.  At least one breeder was already being 
advertised on this website - without her knowledge or authorization!  Someone 
did a domain ownership search and found that the domain name is owned by a Jim 
Douglas in Cincinnati, OH.  Anyone know of such a person?

Apparently he has also acquired similar domain names for other breeds and is 
setting this up as an advertising venture.  There is nothing wrong with that - 
except that he has begun by using unauthorized information lifted from at least 
one copyrighted website!

You might want to check your own breed - ie, www.TheBoxerBreeders.com (or 
ThePoodleBreeders, or whatever) and see if YOUR kennel is listed without your 
permission.  Would love to hear what you find.
