After reading all the mean and snotty posts on my beloved showgsd list this 
morning,
I got this one from another list.
    I never thought the writer was this bright....but she's right on the 
money.

This is what happens when a government becomes so one sided and unbalanced.
Historically when conservatives were in power long enough a government of
the people, by the people and for the people turned into a government for a
few of the people and abuses of power were legion. Now, the liberals are in
power and it is fast becoming a government of the highest level of
socialism, constitutional law be damned and abuses of power are legion.

We are in serious trouble here, and if there aren't some moderate, balanced
leaders elected to office soon, we won't have a prayer.

I grew up in a time when racism, sexism, homophobia, elitism and money=power
were the norm, accepted by a generation who came home from a war to rebuild
their lives. I belong to a generation that refused to accept those
inequities and worked to change them. Now, when we should have the best of
all worlds, the realization of the dreams of Martin Luther King, the vision
of JFK and Bobby Kennedy, the statesmanship of Reagan, we have extremism,
hatred, greed and division instead.

The brief unification of the tragedy of September 11th has now turned into
more divisiveness.

This is indeed a very sad day, when we can't at least say that we have come
a long way since 2001. On that day, I knew that life as we knew it had
changed forever, and very shortly realized that the terrorists plan was
ingenious in that they wanted to destroy our economy and our confidence. It
appears they are very close to complete success. "
