Has anyone tried breeding a good conformation dog to a top tracking dog TDX, VST or herding dog HXA or HXC? These dogs ought to do a lot for temperament (not as a solution to spooks, but to make make our dogs smarter) because they have to think for themselves. In tracking the dog knows where it is going and the handler does not--a different trust relationship. In herding sometimes the dog ignores the handler's command because the dog knows better--and it is okay to do that. Just wondering. . . ~~steph ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2011.
