[ SHOWGSD-L ] stolen puppies

There has been a rise in the incidence of stolen dogs
and or puppies from private residences. We had 4
bulldog pups stolen from a basement in broad daylight
in a very upscale section of Newton, Mass. The owner
of the dam is frantic, understandably so. We also had
a puppy stolen from a local pet store, and a full
grown GSD bitch snared over a 6 foot chain link fence
only to be tossed out onto the highway. Sadly, she did
not survive. There is still some marketing in the
animal fur trade, even though I have seen reports to
the contrary. There are still stuffed animals in
various stores sporting "gaye wolf", another name for
GSD fur. Please watch your babies closely. They are
really helpless if someone is determined to get them.
