[ SHOWGSD-L ] small dog for junior

My junior just got her junior handler #. I started her out with the adults,
because I don't have a dog for her. He parents support her, but don't want a
dog in the house. So I need to get a dog for her. I need a small dog that
works well with gsd's. I love shelties, but I have been told that they don't
work well with gsd's. Enough incidents to warent concerns. Breeders in Ohio
won't sell me a sheltie while I have intact gsd's.
Anyway, I'm looking for suggestion for a small dog to co-own with her.
