hello, I was disappointed that the pages were switched as well because the ROM
chairs take every precaution to send each dam/sire in separate folders to THE
REVIEW so that doesn't happen. Again, everything for the dams are put into a
separate folder; the pedigree, picture, etc. With over 30 dams, there are
bound to be errors; it is a huge effort for the chairs and the REVIEW editor;
it's too bad they got switched and I am not going to put blame on the Editor,
but I also don't think it is fair to put blame on the chairs, since we send
them in separate folders; this is a thank less job but I am glad to have put in
the 5 years and hundreds of hours inputting data for our breed, but until you
are in our shoes, please don't place blame on us. It is a volunteer job and we
all do the best we can. Thanks, Cheryl Olson

I have to say I wasn't so sure about the changes to the review...initially....
but I have been impressed. And I MUST say that Kathleen is super approachable
and really does work with you to get your ads in - I did one at the tail end of
June/ early July for August.... and another for September. The August review
was especially important to me, as my new Champion Dublin would get to be in
the review along with her dam Zarina and her granddam Rubasse - both of whom
got their ROMs.
I was very upset when Rubasse's owner let me know that the two girls photos had
been switched and their ROM pages had the wrong bitch on them. We sent in each
girls information separately.
I emailed Kathleen to tell her of what happened... and to express my
disappointment (how often do mother and daughter get their ROMS the same year
and get to be side by side in the Review as Z is one point behind Ruby? And
then Dublin finished in time to get an ad... and you get to have three
generations of fabulous ladies in the same review? I am thinking this could be
the one time!!)...
Kathleen didn't play the blame game (my understanding is that she was not
responsible for those pages they came already done and ready to be printed),
didn't make excuses - but she did tell me should would have the girls pages
corrected and send them to me for review before they were published again!! I
am so appreciative. ROMS are a really big deal.... and even though the girls
pages wont be correct in the ROM edition, at least these two lovely gals will
get their moment. So kudos to Kathleen for taking care of business in a
professional manner and doing the best she could to make it right.
I hope in the future that whomever puts the ROM pages together will let owners
look at them to ensure they are correct. This is such a huge accomplishment for
our dogs and the animals that achieve this award should get their due
recognition.
