In reponse to this post.....I have tried this food a few times, hoping my dogs would do well on it and they won't eat it. I have only tried the chicken&rice. Suprisingly Ch Carley won't even eat it and she's a chow hound!!!! She even eats raw veggies! Too bad because it looks to be a decent food and the price is right. What I'm feeding right now is the "blue buffalo" grain free salmon and the dogs love it!!!! I avoid it in human and dog food. That said, I realize that the beef and chicken in the dog's food has been fed....soy. (And corn, so even if your dog food doesn't specifically list corn and/or even if you feed raw, your dogs eat corn.) You really have to be diligent to avoid in it our food BTW...it's not always listed as "soy". People see "soy" and thing tofu and make a "good for you connection". Not always so. That explains why certain cancers are lower in pacific rim counties, then "we" added a bunch of soy to things and see statistically very different outcomes.... Does it increase the incidence of bloat? Who knows. Put me in the camp that says there is certainly a genetic component w/ occasional environmental "triggers". So, until science gives us concrete answers, I scrutinize pedigrees and do my damndest to control their environment...and pray.
