Here's to the real men of the world!!! Bas and I have been married 27 years.
People say we are rich..... that is true, very very rich with this wonderful
life we have together. That is a kind of wealth is it not? He says I'm not a
demanding woman..... I found that funny when he said it because he's given me
everything... All these years later we still laugh like crazy, play together
and
enjoy each day in each other's company. Since he let me retire when I was 40,
I take out the garbage. Kate
Shame there are no 'award' pins for 52 years. In this day of 30 second
divorces, it's good to hear that some are still working at it. I'm coming
up on 25 years (no I'm not dyslexic) and wouldn't trade him for the world
(well, maybe for a showable, winnable pup but not the world). I'm his
second, he would have had 40 with the first one but traded her in on a
younger model. And yes, he takes out the garbage.

MIDNIGHT RUNS IF WE HAVE SUDDENLY FORGOTTEN WE ARE OUT OF MEAT FOR THE DOGS FOR
TOMORROW!!! WHO NEVER QUESTION IF WE AWAKE THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT
AND SAY, 'LET'S GO TO THE ER, GOT A SICK DOG'...AND THEY PUT DOWN THEIR CREDIT
CARD AT THE ER , WITHOUT ANY HESITATION AND SIGN IT FOR BEING GOOD UP TO ANY
AMOUNT REQUESTED, LIKE 700.00 PLUS..WHO HOLD US AND COMFORT US WHEN WE LOSE
ONE... WHO BRINGS US COFFEE AND TOAST IN THE WEE HOURS WHEN WE ARE WHELPING
LITTERS AND WHO NEVER SAYS TO US...' I COULD HAVE BOUGHT THAT BOAT OR
MOTORCYCLE
OR CAR OR FISHING TRIP I WANTED, IF IT WASN'T FOR THESE DOGS'...THOSE GUYS WHO
LOVE OUR DOGS, BECAUSE THEY LOVE WHAT WE LOVE AND THEY LOVE US AND THE WHOLE
