Hi List,
When Colleen asked "how the heck did you get them to do this" (dams
regurgitating for their pups), it reminded me of the one time this has ever
happened.
In the 80's, we bought a half German/American solid black bitch from a man
down South. She was a Glen daughter (Bill Leonard's German male) ex a Champion
UFO daughter. She regurgitated for her pups--it was one of the neatest things
I ever saw. I believe this is yet another great example of heredity--she was
just genetically predisposed to do this!
BTW, she also "herded" my two horses--was NEVER taught to do this--she just
did it. COOL.

I had always thought ALL bitches did this around weaning time when urged by
their pups. It's the natural thing for a bitch to do.
