I guess it would have to change when you start taking money for handling. I would think it would be like the amateur status in any sport, but then again they let some professional sports figures play in the Olympics. I wonder what guidelines they will use for this class? We need an NRA-type organization to ollect money and spend it telling the truth. NAIA has started an on-line helter Project that shows ACTUAL disposition of shelter dogs in each state. t's not complete yet but you can see it here: ttp://www.naiashelterproject.org/charts_map.cfm In Michigan, for example, we euthanize about 50,000 dogs a year, or about .1% of all the dogs in the state. Even if every euthanized dog were doptable and adopted, we would still need about 200,000 new dogs a year to eplace the roughly 250,000 dogs a year that die in Michigan (from natural auses). States like Massachusetts and California have done such a good job hat their shelters are now adopting dogs from Puerto Rico, Taiwan and other hird world countries. The word FOR those 4 legs rather than WITH those 4 legs would make it a bit more clear to some folks reading my note. I did indicate WHERE THE POWER BEGINS with or for those 4 legs! Take your pick, but I think most folks understood what I meant!! However, it could easily be translated into "the power of transmission BEGINS in the rear with those 4 legs" --- in other words NOT BEGINNING IN THE FRONT, OR SIDE with those 4 legs! As in -- we DO have 4 wheel drive in some autos and there are front wheel drives as well -------- same situation with any certain type of movement. As I mentioned also, dogs needing strong trasmission pretty much the same as in the sled dogs (4 wheel drive) in my note! OR placement of the legs in motion - either each of the 4 legs giving a track - square - depending on the use or original purpose designated for what ever breed mentioned. Same goes for our horses, of which I also bred and showed in performances and at halter for years as well. It's just, as I said - MY OPINION of why & what observation an study has shown me during my involvement.
