I said yesterday, ya gotta love the good days, but they seldom come 2 days
in a row.
Today at Beaumont KC at Reliant Park in Houston, Witmer-Vanderwerth Maddox
V Trillia again from the Am bred class not only repeated his BOB performance,
he went on to a Group 1 and nearly got the nod (at least was on a 2 for
compare) to BIS. I mean to tell you, my heart was still! So today, he picked
up
5 more points.
Michelle Fields again handled my boy and made me really smile. After
winning the group and realizing she would be down to just 6 other dogs in
there,
she stopped and said she thought she might just need to stop and digest what
just happened for a moment. Ah, sense and sensibility....think I have only
said that one to Jane before. After having been in the group ring yesterday,
the confidence and lessons learned in a day, and her slightly different
approach was remarkable. I am so lucky to have been able to work with such a
natural talent. Am anxious for you all to be able to meet her at the
nationals in
November.
I believe if Maddox finishes, it will give his dam Ponca Hills Xelda of
Lexus her ROM, so for Jack and Bob......keep smiling down on another young
star
to come of your bloodlines and considered breeding program. Maddie is sired
by Jamiroquai and owned by myself and Sue Witmer.
Also thanks guys for the wonderful ring support, and to friends Shirley and
Alan, Paul and Kim for always picking up the slack and being the best support.
Tomorrow, we stay home and get a little rest.
