You know, there are all sorts of tricks like feeing the puppy in the crate
(making it a happy place) or wearing the puppy out before bed time, and no,
it's not separation anxiety, the puppy just wants to be out playing and
being loved by its family, but personally that's not the hill I want to die
on....I like my sleep too much...I'd just take the puppy to bed with me.

I had a puppy person contact me who got a a female puppy from me a couple
of months ago. The pup is fine with her in the house, but as soon as she
puts her in her crate she goes nuts and won't stop barking. She moved the
crate into the garage so they can get sleep at night, and she still howls
and barks the whole time. SLhe thinks she has separaton anxiety. I have
never had a problem like this so am asking for your thoughts. SLhe has the
pup signed up for puppy classes.
