SPECIAL THANKS TO FOLKS OUTSIDE VA FOR THEIR HELP!
The Virginia Senate Ag committee yesterday 'passed by' consideration of SB
55 (the latest of the "Let's end good breeding in Virginia" bills).
Officially, this is only temporary.
Bob Kane of VHDOA posted yesterday that from what he saw watching
yesterday's Virginia Senate Ag committee hearing, there was NO committee
support for
this bill and that the purpose of the delay was to allow time for a polite
burial.
Other contacts this AM tend to confirm that view. SB 55 is almost
certainly dead. We will be watching and let you know if it should show signs
of
reviving
ONE DOWN -- and we need to turn our attention to other bills that are still
alive -- about two dozen of them ranging from 'unnecessary' to 'terrible.'
There's a House Ag Committee hearing tomorrow, no list of bills they'll
consider is available right now. There's a House Ag SUBCOMMITTEE hearing on
Thursday, no info yet on that either.
And this is the way it goes, folks, all through the session.
