Today is the anniversary of Man o'War's first victory...it was in 1919
-- a 5 furlong race at Belmont Park.
He went to the post the favorite (at 3-5 odds)...and his time for the 5
furlongs was 59 seconds. No turns in this race...he won by 6 lengths!
