[ SHOWGSD-L ] off topic - burned pots

Since the List is a little slow right now, I hope no one minds this question:  
What is the formula for cleaning-up burned pots ?  This is a S/S pot – as I 
recall it was something like salt, baking powder, something else ????  Thank 
you, folks !  I’ve got to stop putting stuff on the stove and walking away 
(just for a minute) and forgetting about it.
