I love the club websites and I think that they are the best way to attract new
people to the club and to keep club members updated but they do change all the
time and info is lost. The thing that you can't do with them is curl up on the
couch and read the news and see the pictures of dogs in 1975 :0) I just found
and old Shep dispatch from our club printed in 1975. Lori Nickeson was a
brunette but with the same charming smile. Lori is handling Riesenbult Scherzar
Jezebel CD. Sire was Ch Tucker Hills Oracle UDT , dam Scherzars Airess. There
are 2 really good articles in the issue . One is Don't buy a German Shepherd by
June Betsworth of Georjune Rancho German Shepherds. and there is a reply
written by Barb Williams titled Do Buy a German Shepherd. In 1975 there were
115 members of the GSDC of Oregon. I can also tell you that in June of 1975
there were 5351 gsd's with x-rays submitted to the OFA 25.1 % were dysplastic
67.5 % Normal 2.9 % near normal and 4.5 % were repeat

clubs are doing from time to time and I totally agree. The internet and web
design features make it so easy to be creative and have beautiful sites. In the
old days when I did the GSDC of Atlanta newsletter, I had an old AB Dick
mimeograph machine that cranked out each typed on carbon like paper page. That
was the type of machine that makes the good smelling pages that we all loved to
sniff in school as kid (OK, I am dating myself). It was messy and took forever!
