I keep thinking of things that I left out and an important one is the spring in motion. In the walk and in the trot--slow and medium--the power from the hindquarter thrusts the body forward and slightly upward and the dog looks like it has springs in it's legs which also can be described as buoyancy. Look for it and in the good ones you will she this. I received a photo from a person on this list which shows the things I mentioned beautifully. The dog is purely from American lines but represents a universal type in all aspects. I have not received permission to publish but perhaps I will get it. Thanks and I will sign off, MG What was was, what is is --but what was is and what is was!!
