Neat idea!
I remember my first national fondly. It was there that I met Tim Trapp, and
the rest of his family. It was in Houston, not far from where I lived, and
GV CH Piper Hills Polo went up. If I remember right it was also the one
where someone was standing the end of the arena waving this God awful orange
and yellow bedspread as a means of doubling their dog.
Another fond memory was the lady that had trained her dog to double off the
sound that duck tape makes coming off the roll. What made this so amusing
was at some point this poor woman was so wrapped up in duck tape that she
was immobile, and looked like a silver/gray mummy!
I remember Scottsdale AZ where at that beautiful hotel, there was an outdoor
fire place and we all sat out there in the cool dry AZ air and talked dogs.
Listening to some of the icons of the breed remember dogs from the past was
so cool! this was also the national where it was discovered by Bob and
Carol Moore that it is not a good idea to send me to the airport by myself
to pick anyone up. Ask Bob about it.. he'll be glad to tell you.
Last years was a blast too. I had so much fun going from fire pit to fire
pit in the RV area and listening to people talk. I saw one of the cutest
things there too. I looked up at one of the big bus like RV's and saw 2
full grown GSD's laying across the dash of the bus watching us. it was
really cute. In fact we probably have a pic of it somewhere.
