[ SHOWGSD-L ] lawn care, etc (was lunches)

On another list we are discussing moles and the ruination of
lawns...and how to get rid of moles, etc.
Apparently if you can get rid of the slugs and other pests that are
destroying the lawn's roots, you get rid of the moles, too, since they
eat the slugs.
Someone suggested putting out a few pieplates of beer to attract the
slugs...they crawl in and drown.
I said "a few cases of beer would attract even more slugs...problem is,
they tend to sober up."
I don't know why, but in view of all the discussion of food, I thought
this was apropro.
