There is a vaccine. It is only good against the bite of the Western Diamondback
Rattlesnake. It does not make a dog immune to the bite. It just gives you more
time to get them to the Vet. It may mean that less antivenom is needed to
treat.
Also the antivenom used on a dog is the same as used on humans. The problem is
that if supplies are short then the Vets can not get any. Beth Andrews
