My son has a shepherd who is only two but she whines all the time and it is driving them crazy. She walks up to them whining to be petted gets lots of attention but never stops and has done it since she was a pup. She keeps them up at night and they need help. I haven't had this problem. She whines in the crate in the basement. She whines in the family room at night and whines in the bedroom waking them up. I have suggested a crate in the bedroom but don't know if that will help. Her other SERIOUS problem is that she got into the garbage and ate what we think was a petrified mouse who ate poison., She almost died from hepititas. We need to find something to make her sleep at night but not hurt her. The whining started when she was a pup. They have tried everything we can think of. Vet checked her and can't find a problem.
