[ SHOWGSD-L ] founding Tulsa GSD club passes away

Travis Wayne "Blackie" Oliver passed away Monday, March 13,2006. In 1963 he
and his wife of over 60yrs, Geraldine help organize the German Shepherd Dog
Club of Greater Tulsa, Inc.where they both served for the next 40 yrs. They
were very instrumental in bringing the GSDCA National to Tulsa in the early
80's. Included in Travis obituary after the mention of the children,
grandkids, great grandkids was "and adored master of Darby, his loyal German
Shepherd Dog". Geraldine now is the only founding member the Tulsa club has.
She still ring stewards for us at our fall shows. True dedication to the breed
