HI Rachel,
I went to your web site. Your dogs are very nice. Unfortunately your colors
page doesn't open...but looking thru your pages, one thing I don't see is
movement pictures. I am VERY willing to look into breeding my girls into NEW
gene pool...however, I will not give up my American type of shoulder. I want
Ruby's gait to NOT at all be compromised, and I have yet to see a working dog
move like that. AND, I do know that a male should not move like a bitch, but I
do not see why they can't come close. I love drive, temperament, work-ablity,
great underjaw, rich pigment....but, and I have tried breeding German into my
lines... I loose something everytime.

The SHOW ring in Germany, yes, but the limited gene/phenotype pool elsewhere?
Cookie cutter type? No way.Families may be stamped with"a look", but that's
normal.
It's the show ring where exhibitors feel the need to breed the "type" that is
currently winning, here in the USA and in Germany...just my uneducated, what do
I know observation. If that were not so, then we wouldn't need to seek out
judges that like our type, or try to breed something they or the National Breed
warden will like.
I have imported dogs from West german show, schutzhund, police lines plus
Dutch police and schutzhund dogs, East (DDR) german show and schutzhund dogs,
belgium show and police dogs, Czech Republic show dog, and the gene pool is
alive and healthy! (and diverse)!!

just click on the first 5 dogs with pictures includes longcoat, sable,
bi-color, bl/tan and several body types that prove the argument last week that
the problem with european dogs is that there is NO consistency of type
production..
