I got a call from a friend whose one year old GSD just had a seizure today. I
used to have a rescue Golden with this impairment and my vet prescribed
phenobarbitol. This was twenty years ago, so I don't know what meds are
generally prescribed for this. There is no history of epilepsy in her dog's
line, I know the lines at least four generations back, so we have no clue what
caused this.

I just remember that for general seizures, the Phenobarbitol was used, and for
severe seizures, Valium.

Anybody know anything else that is good to use?
