Petroleum jelly (but they you can't re-glue for QUITE a while, nothing will
stick, but maybe you can't anyway if the ears are too irritated,) or go to
a medical supply company and get human grade glue remover.
At the race track we used to use ether to remove glued on run-down patches
and that is safe on open cuts etc., but almost impossible to get now (Home
Depot???). Don't use the carpet remover solvents that contain ether...it
has to be 100% ether, maybe in an old fashioned hardware store????
