Hi! My name is Lisa Semmens and I am the "mother" of a dog with
Degenerative Myelopathy. My little boy is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named
Mwldyr and was diagnosed with DM in late September of last year. As we have
been coping with this devastating disease, I have reached out on-line to
others who are also dealing with it and discovered a few other folks in NC
who have been participating in on-line chats. We decided to meet in person
one day and came up with the idea of having a NC DM Support group meeting.
The Rehab Center that Mwldyr goes to in Raleigh has graciously volunteered
to host a meeting and I have attached a flyer with details. We would
appreciate it if you could pass this information along to your membership as
we would like to provide the opportunity to attend to as many owners of DM
dogs as possible. Please also feel free to post at local vet offices.
