I didn't 'target' any one group. And I see little difference between
'volume' breeders (as you describe them) and 'commercial' breeders as it was
brought
up. They both live off the sale of dogs and have no concern as to where they
go.. There may be a technical difference in the way they are regulated but
it's just that - a technicality in the way they are regulated.
I am a show and working dog breeder myself so i have no problem with
responsible breeding.. The distinction between commercial and hobby is whether
or
not you are dependent on the sale of dogs for your livelihood. Making a profit
on a litter of pups that offsets some of the thousands put into finishing the
parents, etc is not a problem. Producing litter after litter of pups that
MUST be sold to make ends meet, I think qualifies one as a commercial breeder
regardless of what purpose they profess to be breeding them for.

Commercial breeders don't advertise. They are already contracted to provide

My idea of a commercial breeder is anyone who breeds primarily for profit
and lives off their dogs whether they are pet shop or show or working dog
