We have had cats from time to time (fresh out at the moment), but the GSD and their live in furry friends are not after the cat to kill it. It is their buddy - or that is how I was reading it because of our own experience I suppose. I could be wrong, as I often am. Just ask my boos, Linda or Alycia!!!!!! Dave I've got a mother kitty and her two six month old daughters here who desperately need good homea because MY resident kitty, Kathy, thinks she's a dog, and won't tolerate another cat. Viper, on the other hand, who has never lived with a cat before (according to J.R.) sleeps with Kathy, grooms Kathy, lets her groom him, etc. My experience with my shepherds has been that if they're not TAUGHT to "get the kitty", or tortured by kitties teasing them on the other side of a fence, they do very well with them, and might very well bait on one if they thought someone was hurting it.
