there are too many similar stories to Lee's.....several years ago, and I 
already said this on the list, I talked a friend out of conformation shows 
in-general and German Shepherd conformation shows in specific...and not 
because I don't enjoy dogs show, because I do....but  there is too much BS 
among many of the people involved in this sport...Ed Hill

I was a member for over 30 years. Always worked very hard in my specialty   
Regional club, held every office there was to hold, Show Chairman for 25   
years. Purchased a 21 month old dog from a breeder. Had the dog x-rayed by two 
 different Vets within 24 hours after he arrived, both said he was   
dysplastic and put it in writing. I returned the dog to the breeder within the 
  
contract time I had to return the dog. He would not refund the money nor 
replace  the dog. He was a signer of the Breeders code. I filed a complaint 
with 
the  breeders code chairperson and with the ethics committee chairperson. 
NOTHING WAS  EVER DONE TO HIM. He was still a member of the PC when  he 
committed died.  I Never got anything from him so I can easily  say that even 
though I was there all those years for  the PC when I needed  them they did 
nothing for me.  Even after all that I still continued to do  all my work in 
the 
regional club but it comes a time in life when one has  enough. Of course 
then when you do you become a low life because all of sudden  you are not a 
member any longer. Give another reason why I don't care to be a  member. It is 
the mentality of a lot of members. I am not even going to get into  how I 
was treated when I judged the Nationals. That is a whole other story and  not 
a good one.

good  deal of his "off" time for many years was planning and putting on dog 
  
shows  in between judging assignments. 

And of course you  Sally.....your constant and generous support of rescue   
dogs and  clubs that support rescue has never gone unnoticed. 

Neither belong to  the club for very specific reasons, but have never   
stopped their  concern or giving to this breed. 

Since we all live in glass houses a  good deal of the time.........you know 
  
how that  goes...

much about the German Shepherd dog  and don't belong long  the  club .  Lee 
Brown is one of them .  He has given 110 %  over the  years for his local 
speciality and local allbreed club  etc 
Too bad more  people don't recognize that fact. may be then so  many would 
have not left  the  club
