AB 1634 now (according to its author) requires mandatory sterilization of
every dog and cat in California. No exceptions. We must stop this proposal
before it becomes law. The bill was approved by the Senate Local Government
committee this past Wednesday. It moves next to the Senate Appropriations
committee, maybe as soon as this coming Monday, June 30, 2008.
Time is of the essence. Please call the committee members and write letters
of opposition to all members of the Senate Appropriations Committee
immediately. They must hear our opposition loud and clear.

1634. We have included a list of the Appropriations Committee members and
their contact information. Please call them and FAX letters to their
offices. We have included a sample opposition letter. If you don't want to
create your own letter, please feel free to print and use ours or simply
