Years back my Mindy became very ill. My local vet could not determine the
cause of her illness so he referred me to The Veterinary Specialty Hospital in
San Diego, Calif.
They charged me an arm and a leg not to mention driving Mindy there each
month for follow up check ups for over a year. The good news is that they saved
her from the Aspiration Pneumonia (January 2003 story in Review) that they were
able to quickly diagnose. During my trips there, I noticed that they had
SEVERAL specialists and even an MRI machine...
I have never come across such a remarkable facility, not to mention the
great, caring staff. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I am pretty sure
you
will need a referral from your regular vet to go there. Mindy's specialist and
also the owner of the practice, at the time of her illness, was also flying
back and forth to Boston to teach vet school there. Very impressive. The
facility is open 24 hours a day too.
