Many breeders breed to the specialty judges' tastes. The all breed judges do
not always know what is a really good shepherd, but usually they know what
is clean moving (a top priority in the GSD standard), (which specialty people
seem to deride as a flaw/joke in all breed judging) (can I do triple
parentheses?) And the dogs they choose usually look like a shepherd. Syd
