I sent that piece to a friend in the northeast...
and she sent back the following comment:
"This is sooooo funny AND sooooo true! As an aside I don't know if this news
item from Staten Island, NY made it to your area but about 2 weeks ago a 19
year female fell into an open manhole (around which workers were standing - but
apparently not very observent themselves) while texting."
Which only goes to show, I guess, that some of these kids may be a whiz at the
electronics, but don't know where they are at any given moment!
