Hey John! The best tool for grinding nails is a Dremel. I only clip the
nails first if they are extra long, otherwise I just use the dremel.
I use Ivomec myself... but if you want to stay with Heartguard.. try
checking online for a better price. Vet's offices are ALWAYS higher! They
have "overhead". You will stil need a prescription from your vet, but he/she
should give you one. If he/she won't... FIND ANOTHER VET.
1800petmeds.com has Heartguard Plus for $40 for six doses. Bullwinkle.com
has it for $38 for six doses.

Hello everyone, I would like to ask a few questions to
the list. 1st question is what method or tool is
recommended for grinding nails? And should you trim

took my dog to the Vet the other day to get him some
heartguard + and frontline I noticed in a months time
the cost has gone up several $$$ per dose..... living
here in TX. the ticks are very bad because of the dry,
hot weather we are having. My mentor suggested that I
use ivanmec(?) for a substitute for a heartguard +
what do you all recommend or suggest?? and other's
compared to frontline? the list has been a very
educational reference to me,
