Why didn't those smart dogs want raw? What ever possessed them to want
cooked meat. They needed to talk to Ed.

If I remember the way it happened, (I’m probably that old! LOL), the wild
dogs started hanging around the camp and shagged a piece of meat as it fell
from the fire. Two things got started… Dogs really loved the taste of
that cooked meat and hung around for more. The people at the camp got the
idea to use the dogs to help hunt for more meat to cook over that fire.
The human/canine bond was forged.

OH PIFFLE!
Dog food fights are fun, but most start with a presumption of the dog,
hundreds or thousands of years ago as the wolf, coyote, hyena, or other
canine, fending for itself, killing rabbits, mice, chickens, etc. for their
daily
food.
How about examining that presumptions a bit. Since anthropologists have
found the bones of dog with the bones of people thousands of years ago, is it
at all possible that dogs started out as companions to man, living with or
in close proximity to and cleaning up our garbage as a source of food and
as a function of the social context??????
But how should I know. I am old, but I did not get to observe Adam, Noah,
or the Neanderthals contrary to the opinion of some.
