Be careful what you do. Beware there are crooks everywhere.
More so, most breeders will do the right thing. We bought a bitch from the
Rinkes years ago. She didn't turn out so they replaced her with a bitch
that had won her Futurity. She went on to finish in four shows, or so.
I remember selling a Paladin daughter for a show quality that didn't turn
out. We replaced her with a bitch that turned out to be the mother of
Dakota, Draganslayer and Destiny.
We bought a beautiful puppy at the national for show, and he turned into a
great pet for our house and I wouldn't give him up for anything.
Most breeders will bend over backwards if your show puppy does not turn
out. But, unless you wait until the puppy is two years old, there is no way to
know for sure what you will get.
Some times the problem is that people try to predict the future too early.
I like to pick my show puppies at three years old, and I like kids when
they turn 30 or so.
