[ SHOWGSD-L ] YESTERDAY and JFK

I was announcing my afternoon radio show. I heard the tickertape stop,
(it never did that). I got up to see what was on the tape and went to my
microphone to announce my president was shot. That is how I said it, and I
felt that way.
No one who did not live through that can understand the feelings our nation
had for that man. I don't know what history would have done for him, but I
know what he did for history.
For those who were there, I am sure you recognize the irony of the
statement I just made.
