10 or so years ago I ran for the Board( now that was NOT a great idea) at that
time I was in favor of having the National every year in the SAME location in
the middle of the country! A few years later the late great Dick Whalen ( great
man) got me to change my view on the subject!... And this is still my position
on having the National rotate, PROGRAM ALERT....ST Louis, St Louis, St Louis is
NOT a rotation!... But that's another sort of lie we all bought!... Anyway, if
we are to continue with rotation the bottom line is that there will be some
folks and dogs that just won't be able to get there.... How cool would it be to
have three regional Nationals all on the same weekend! You say it will never
happen?... Why not? FB

This was my idea for Futurities, more then 15 regionals, then four finals, then
a national.
If we had three regional Nationals, someone would want one to settle the three
regions, (that someone might be me).
I got why it is in St. Louis. There are ten good reasons. Or, at least ten
reasons.
10. It is central in the country and everyone can get to it.
9. The location airport will take all crates and all size dogs.
8. It has nothing to do with how many board members can drive there in less
than four hours.
7. St. Louis has the very best restaurants in the country.
6. The weather is always perfect and it never rains there.
5. All the hotels are within walking distance of the show grounds.
4. It is free and we save the entire costs of the national.
3. Everyone will love the sound system.
2. Every exhibitor will be able to have a separate area for their dogs, safe
and lockable.
1. There is a White Castle within three miles of the arena.
Now, how many of those reason do you still believe to be true?
