I found this on a search...
Grapes and Raisins have been found to possibly cause kidney failure in
susceptible dogs. It usually requires a large amount to cause any damage (12-14
oz.) but very few dogs survive from this overindulgence. Check out the ASPCA
for more info. Meanwhile, it may not be a good idea to have grape vines that
your dog can get to.
I know my dogs love fruit, too. And the Veges. I chased Stella around
yesterday after she stole my whole Peach. She ended up eating it...pit and all.
She excreted the pit today...I was worried on that one, tho.

I've been reading & enjoying your chocolate stories & I've had my share of
chocolate thieves, but their entire life they've been told "NO CHOCOLATE" and I
don't feel guilty not sharing chocolate with them.
My problem is GRAPES! My old guy, in fact ALL my kids love grapes & I always
shared the grapes with them. Great little fruit to teach catch with!
In fact Marc, my ole guy, loves fruit, REALLY LOVES fruit! When he was a kid
he stole a watermelon off the counter & ate half of it rind and all. He also
didn't have the decency to get a tummy ache.
But back to the grapes. He's been eating them for 10 of his 12 years. Now I
have to look this wonderful guy in the eyes & say NO GRAPES! He isn't buying
it............so no one is eating grapes at his house anymore!
Who or what started the grape ban? What happens if they eat grapes? Now Marc
& his family have to be content with all the other fruits of the world. I
wonder which will be the next product they will ban?
