I shook hands with Bobby Kennedy and Averell Harriman - the most impressive of
all the politicians I have met.
I met David Brinkley covering a campaign.
I met Paul Newman at Sears Point when he was there testing a Nissan. A friend
worked there and got me in. Mr Newman was very polite and stopped and talked
although I am sure he had things to do. (it was quite a while ago --)
I have talked to Joan Baez a number of times and my sister-in-law went to class
with her.
My favorite concert was Pete Seeger.
Met the Judd's backstage on their last tour.
I met Jim Henson but ended up talking to Kermit who was a lot more
outgoing. Meeting Kermit really impressed my nephews who were quite young at
the time.
I met Tommy Smothers when I lived in Sonoma.
Hewy Lewis used to come and bail out his Airedale.
Shirley Temple Black used to come into the clothing store my dad worked at -
she was not so very pleasant.
Melvin Belli and his group came to Yosemite Lodge when I woked there and by the
time they left, we had to close the building down for repairs. (this does age
me)
Went to high school with both Jim Plunkett and Lee Evans - explained math to
Jim.
I think I was at least as impressed with Bobby Kennedy's eyes as with Paul
Newman's.
oh yes, and I met 2 generations of Lassies.
