Think what it would mean to have the obedience people wait at the
conformation ring, to see the BOB. But, they usually have the conformation
club
set it all up, and tear it all done, and ignore the conformation showing.
They come, show the hard work they have done to train their dogs, and go home.
It is from the conformation breeders where many of those obedience dogs
come from. It would be great if they showed an interest in conformation.
And, yet, we keep getting told we have to take more interest in performance.
It should not be a one way street.

I have for years wondered why they bring the top winning performance
animal to be recognized in the conformation ring, but never ask the Best of
Breed winner to be brought over to be shown in the obedience ring.
Well let's start with the fact that obedience is long finished by the time
the Best of Breed winner is announced. Heck obedience is finished before
judging of specials is even started!
