my dad took me to a few nationals when i was a kid but the first one that andy
and i went to after we got our foundation bitch was in '83 in tempe, arizona.
mannix (sukee's) and blythe spirit were GV and GVX, it was outdoors, hot and SO
exciting. it was also the first and last time i ever handled at a national. i
had one of rosemarie's sirocco daughters in am bred and remember asking harry
schneider to either place me or let me go before i died. bob penny was behind
me and i also requested that he not stomp me when i went down for the count.
weird to think that both of them are now gone.
